Purchase a Resting Place
Hanover Cemetery offers two ways to secure a final resting place. You can choose a traditional in-ground burial plot, or a niche in one of our columbaria.
Traditional Burial
You can purchase a traditional burial plot in Hanover Cemetery, and there is plenty of availability. We ask that you have some connection to Hanover, whether through the community, Hanover College, or Hanover Presbyterian Church. The price of one grave is currently $500, and each grave can hold one casket and one set of cremated remains, or up to four sets of cremated remains with no casket. To purchase a grave and discuss burial options, please contact the office to schedule an appointment.
Making Arrangements
Hanover Cemetery provides for purchase of in-ground burial plots and columbaria niches. However, we do not arrange funerals or memorial services, and we do not provide grave opening/closing or monument services. You will need to make those arrangements directly through a licensed funeral home or monument company of your choosing.
Your funeral director will coordinate the details of burial or inurnment with the cemetery on your behalf. If you do not have a funeral home in mind yet, we can recommend local funeral homes near the cemetery, or we suggest contacting one near you (if you are out of town) to get started with your planning.
